Steve just got home from Northern California after being gone for 6 days! Such is the life of a farmer. He brought home a box of beautiful Pink Ladies and so of course, we had to bake apple pies! If you haven’t tried baking with pink ladies I highly recommend it…they taste better in pies than Granny Smith.
Confession time… I use store bought crusts….shhh!
Apple Pie filling….
5 or 6 (depending on size) organic pink lady apples
1/2 c Organic light brown sugar
1.5 T corn starch
1/4 Tsp cinnamon
Pour into pie shells and top with a second crust. Brush top with egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake @ 375 for 45 min.
